APSIS
Privacy Policy
Effective 27 October 2026
APSIS doesn't collect data about you. There are no analytics, no ads, no accounts and no tracking, and the app sends us nothing. What you browse stays on your device. Browsing does mean talking to others, such as the websites you open and the search engine you choose; this page lists everything that leaves your device and why.
1. Who is responsible
VOIDMOD, owner Torben Bohr
Johannes-Kirschweng-Str. 11
53474 Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
Germany
Email: apsis@voidmod.com
Legal notice: voidmod.com/impressum. This policy covers the APSIS app for iPhone and iPad and this website, apsis.voidmod.com.
2. What we collect: nothing
The app has no analytics or telemetry, no crash reporting of our own, no advertising and no advertising identifier, and no accounts. There's no server of ours that the app talks to, so we can't see which websites you visit, what you search for or what you type.
Apple handles downloading the app from the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. If you've allowed it in your device's settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements › Share with App Developers), Apple gives us crash reports and anonymous usage statistics. We only use them to fix problems.
3. What stays on your device
- History: the pages you visit, kept for as long as you choose (3 months unless you change it, from 1 day to forever). Deleted entries are overwritten. Private browsing never adds to history.
- Tabs, Spaces, folders, Favorites and settings, including your settings for individual websites and which sites are in a Kapsel.
- Website data: cookies, local storage and caches that websites store, kept separately for each Kapsel. Private browsing keeps them only until you close its tabs.
- Website icons and downloaded files (in Files › APSIS).
This data is stored in the app's own area on your device; we have no access to it. If you back up your device to a computer or to iCloud, it's included in those backups under Apple's terms. You can delete it in the app (clear history, clear a site's data, forget a site), and deleting the app removes all of it.
4. What leaves your device when you browse
- Websites you visit. Like any browser, APSIS connects to the websites you open. They receive your IP address, information about your device and browser, and whatever you do on them; their own privacy policies apply. APSIS removes known tracking parameters from links, prefers secure (https) connections and, if you turn it on, blocks ads and trackers.
- Your search engine. Searches from the address bar go to the search engine you pick (DuckDuckGo unless you change it; you can also pick Startpage, Brave Search, Ecosia, Qwant, Google, Bing or Kagi). It receives your search terms and your IP address.
- iCloud Sync (off unless you turn it on). If you turn it on, your Spaces, pinned tabs, Favorites, folders, Lotse and Kapsel rules, settings for individual websites and app settings are stored in your own iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit, so your other iPhone and iPad get them. The contents are end-to-end encrypted with keys in your iCloud Keychain, so neither Apple nor we can read them; only random record names and timestamps are visible to Apple. Open tabs, history, private tabs, cookies and website data are never synced. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud. Turning sync off stops it; your iCloud settings let you delete the stored data.
- Search suggestions (off unless you turn them on). If you turn them on, what you type in the address bar is sent to your search engine as you type it. Never web addresses, and never from private browsing.
- Bangs. Searches with a bang like “!w” go to DuckDuckGo, which sends you on to that site.
- Filter lists for content blocking (off unless you turn them on). Lists you turn on are downloaded every few days straight from their makers (for example uBlock Origin on GitHub, easylist.to, pgl.yoyo.org and malware-filter on GitLab). These downloads carry no cookies, but like any server, the providers see your IP address. Blocking itself happens on your device: nothing about the pages you visit is sent anywhere.
- Website icons and media artwork are loaded from the website they belong to, without cookies or a cache.
- Explain and Summarize use Apple Intelligence. The text you select, or the page you summarize, is processed by Apple's model on your device. With the “Automatic” setting, long texts may be processed by Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which Apple designed not to store your data. The text goes to no other AI service. Without Apple Intelligence, these features aren't offered.
- Camera, microphone and location are only available to websites you allow, after APSIS asks you. APSIS itself never stores or sends your location.
- Other apps. When a page wants to open a link in another app, APSIS asks you first.
5. This website
This website runs on VOIDMOD's own server. When you open it, the server records technical access data: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's identification. We use this data only to run the website and keep it secure, keep it only as long as that requires, and then delete it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party services; it uses your device's own fonts and loads none. If you choose a language, the choice is saved in your browser and never sent to us.
6. Children
APSIS collects no data from anyone, including children.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Since the app gives us no data about you, there's usually nothing for us to provide, but you can always write to apsis@voidmod.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one responsible for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Mainz, Germany.
8. Changes
If APSIS changes in a way that affects this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
Datenschutzerklärung
Gültig ab 27. Oktober 2026
1. Verantwortlich
VOIDMOD, Inhaber Torben Bohr
Johannes-Kirschweng-Str. 11
53474 Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
Deutschland
2. Was wir erheben: nichts
3. Was auf deinem Gerät bleibt
4. Was dein Gerät beim Surfen verlässt
1. Responsable
VOIDMOD, titular Torben Bohr
Johannes-Kirschweng-Str. 11
53474 Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
Alemania
- Explicar y Resumir usan Apple Intelligence.
